Enthusiastic poker players may find they have to make a choice between sticking with their current handset or trading-in a mobile in order to make way for an Apple iPad.
That is because the US manufacturer has released the popular game World Series of Poker Hold'em Legend for the tablet.
Although it was originally launched for other portals last December, specialists have been working on the technology to ensure it is just right for the iPad.
Among the areas that have been upgraded from the first version of the game is the multiplayer function, potentially making it simple for poker players to now use their device to compete against each other.
Owners of an iPad can choose the level at which they wish to enter, with everything from low-stakes matches up to the prestigious Tournament of Champions on offer.
Apple released the iPad earlier this year and, within 80 days of its launch, it had sold more than three million units.
