Campaign could help Apple iPhone users
Those recycling mobile phones to cut costs may welcome the latest announcement regarding the Terminate the Rate campaign.
Organised by a number of firms in the industry including 3 and BT, the initiative is aimed at reducing the amounts charged to operators when they connect to a rival network.
It was revealed this week that four other firms have decided to give their backing to the push, helping to boost awareness and give the overall lobby further momentum.
The groups include family-based charity 4Children and financial information portal Moneymagpie.com, the founder of which said it was time for "greedy mobile phone companies" to stand up and take notice.
Other groups who confirmed their support were the Institute of Money Advisors and Crossroads Care - a group which helps those who look after the elderly and infirm.
Earlier in the month, The Royal College of Nursing and Unite also said they were backing Terminate the Rate.
