Apple iPhone 5 'on the way for mobile customers'
20/12/2010
Fans of the latest mobile phones may be excited to learn of a potential outing of the much-anticipated Apple iPhone 5.
Luke Johnson, writing for T3, explains a prototype of the next-generation handset has appeared online, perhaps giving a first glimpse of what the US manufacturer may have planned for its next release.
Although Apple overhauled the design of its flagship product earlier this year when the iPhone 4 was released, it is thought to be willing to do the same again.
"We would not be surprised to see the iPhone 5 adopting a dramatically different design form come launch in mid-2011," says Mr Johnson.
He notes the leak comes from Chinese website M8cool, which shows images of a handset that appears to have taken some features of the iPhone 3GS and some of the latest model.
The iPhone 4 was released in the UK, US, Germany, France and Japan in June and sold 1.7 million units within three days.
