Mobile banking is a reason to recycle used phones
People who recycle their used phones in order to upgrade to a top-quality mobile will be able to enjoy access to a banking app.
New research by comScore has found that the use of such tools is very much on the rise in the US.
In fact, as many as 32.5 million people in the country are said to have accessed a mobile banking feature in June, meaning almost 14 per cent of all phone owners did so.
"The investments in mobile made by financial services institutions, along with the continued growth in smartphone adoption, have had a truly positive effect on the use of mobile financial services," explained Sarah Lenart, vice-president for marketing solutions at comScore.
She said it is easier than ever for consumers to access their bank accounts from a phone.
A study by the Nationwide Building Society recently found that mobile banking is now more popular among phone owners than visiting social networks.
