Mobile phones could help women find a job
Women could empower themselves by choosing a mobile phone with internet access, it has been suggested.
Claire Goodwin, sales director for womenintechnology.co.uk, made the comments after a report from BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT revealed that females benefit socially from new technology.
She suggested that social networking sites are a large part of job hunting these days.
Women with mobile phones featuring internet access could make sure they are kept up to date with employment opportunities.
Without Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, networking would be made much harder, Ms Goodwin explained, adding:"The importance of networking can't be emphasised enough - you never know who could lead you to your next job or opportunity."
Also discovered in the BCS study was that those with access to technology such as the internet feel more satisfied with life as they believe this empowers them to do the things they want to.
