RIM releases BlackBerry Curve 9320

10/05/2012

Research In Motion (RIM) has unveiled the latest model in its low-end smartphone range - the BlackBerry Curve 9320.

The firm announced yesterday (May 9th) that its latest mobile phone offering would be looking to tap into the social media market by making connectivity as easy as possible.

It will have preloaded apps for Facebook and Twitter, as well as having the new Social Feeds 2.0, which will allow consumers to post updates to multiple networks at a time.

RIM is reportedly looking to focus its attentions on lower end smartphones as it tries to get back into profit following a poor year in 2011.

Executive vice president of Smartphone Business at RIM Carlo Chiarello expects the new mobile phone to be especially popular among consumers upgrading to a smart device for the first time.

"The new BlackBerry Curve 9320 is designed to make it incredibly easy for users to stay socially-connected," he added.
