Samsung Galaxy Tab now available from Optus

The latest version of Samsung's Galaxy Tab is now available to Optus customers.
Featuring a 10.1-inch screen and 32GB of built-in storage, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is the follow-up to the original Galaxy Tab, which was the subject of a lawsuit from Apple.
The US company claimed the device was too similar to its iPad and succeeded in getting the South Korean firm's product temporarily withdrawn from sale.
Samsung's follow-up is powered by a 1 Ghz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and features 1GB of RAM. It runs version 4.0 of Google's Android operating system - known as Ice Cream Sandwich - and its onboard storage can be expanded through the use of MicroSD cards.
Optus' managing director of marketing Michael Smith hailed the launch of the product.
"As the popularity of tablets in Australia continues to grow at a rapid rate, we are delighted to present the brand new Galaxy Tab 2 from Samsung," he remarked.
