Adobe Photoshop Touch coming to Apple iPhone and Android mobiles

Adobe's famed Photoshop tool is often the first port of call for photographers, artists and those with a creative edge, and the software will soon come to mobile phones.

The organisation has confirmed that the Photoshop Touch application, which is currently available on some tablet devices, will be adapted for the smaller screen.

Apple awarded the innovative and advanced tool made for the iPad with App Store Best of 2012 and App Store Hall of Fame titles.

Gadget lovers have expressed their fondness for mobile image editing products by downloading tools like Instagram more than 50 million times, so there is sure to be a huge demand.

However, users won't be restricted to just adding effects and filters to photographs – more advanced features will be available.

Product manager Stephen Nielson told TechRadar: “You can do a lot more with it than any other app, but it does require a little more learning. You can pick it up very quickly, though.”

Making changes to snaps taken on handset cameras should be a breeze, as should sharing the altered images with friends and family through social networks like Facebook.
