Alleged leak hints at 10MP Samsung Galaxy S4 camera

A photograph allegedly taken with the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been uploaded to Picasa, suggesting that the mobile phone will feature a ten-megapixel camera.

Speculation began to circulate as the picture was uploaded from a device with the model number SGH-N045, which is believed to refer to the South Korean manufacturer's next handset.

The current flagship smartphone has an eight-megapixel snapper, so this slight upgrade is not out of the question.

However, many technology experts predicted that the gadget would sport a 13-megapixel camera, competing with newly released devices like the Sony Xperia Z.

If other rumours circulating are correct, users will be viewing images and videos taken on a five-inch FHD screen.

Mobile phone owners are increasingly using their handsets to take photographs and share them with friends and family using apps like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8 device takes some of the most impressive snaps thanks to innovative optical image stabilisation technology and a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens.
