It's not the first time that the Amazon-made mobile phone has made the news but reports have emerged that the smartphone could support 3D.
Amazon is producing two devices and one is thought to be a high-end handset which will feature a 3D user interface and four cameras for facial tracking purposes, according to TechCrunch,
The premium “Smith” smartphone is thought to carry four cameras, one in each corner of the handset, to track the head and eyes of the user and make the display appear 3D.
However, if the reports are true and Amazon is producing such a device, the smartphone could come with a very expensive price tag. The company will have to absorb the manufacturing cost of producing four cameras, plus one on the back for photos and video.
The report suggests that real-world image recognition could be a possibility, which would make it easier to purchase products from the e-commerce site.
