Apple has been criticised for not innovating enough with its release of mobile phones over the past few years. However, that could all change during 2014.
A message from the company's chief executive Tim Cook to its employees has found its way online and revealed that the manufacturer has 'big plans' for the year ahead.
According to 9o5mac, the email read: “We have a lot to look forward to in 2014, including some big plans that we think customers are going to love.”
Although the leaked message doesn't shed any light on what the company has planned, it does suggests that it could be more than just the expected next generation of iPhone.
Of course, Apple could be being literal when it says 'big', as we've already heard reports that the company is preparing a bigger screen for its iPhone 6, which could see a larger display offered on a new iPad too.
However, some have speculated that next year could see the launch of the iWatch, which has been heavily rumoured over the past year.
