Technology company Apple is widely expected to announce details of its much-anticipated iPhone 5 device today (October 4th).
At a ceremony in California, the firm is predicted to give the world its first look at the model, which is sure to fly off the shelves.
And consumers who trade in their mobile phones as soon as possible may find they are in pole position to get their hands on the device.
The launch will also be one of the first duties of Apple's new chief executive Tim Cook, who has stepped in to the position following the recent departure of the brand's figurehead Steve Jobs.
Details of the phone remain sketchy, but Metro believes it could have a slightly wider screen and a new home button that makes it easier to take photographs.
It is not the first major release Apple has made this year, as it unveiled the iPad 2 in March.
