Since Apple unveiled its iOS 7 operating system for mobile phones, rumours have been rife about what else users can expect from the company. Now images have surfaced which indicate that rumours about the iPhone 5S carrying a A7 chip may be true.
Photos which have leaked so far have focused on the dual-LED flash, but these are the first which show what the next iPhone may be carrying on the inside.
MacRumors got hold of the images and published them on its site, although there isn't a great deal that can be suggested from the pictures it does show the processor which hints at what chip the iPhone 5S will be sporting.
According to Techradar, the codes on the border of the chip read “APL0698,” which seems to indicate an upgrade from the A6's “APL0598”.
Giving the past chips numbers it's a fair assumption that the iPhone 5S will carry the next version of the ARM chip.
