Apple has apparently made its final decision on what the size of its next flagship mobile phone will be – the iPhone 6.
According to a note by Timothy Arcuri, Cowen and Company analyst, the company will be expanding its screen size but not to 5.7-inches. The insider cited “checks” within Apple's supply chain that indicate the Cupertino manufacturer is going to feature a 4.8-inch screen on its iPhone 6.
Recent reports indicated that Apple's next flagship smartphone will have two versions, one around the 4.8 inch mark and another that is closer to six inches in sizes, probably 5.7 inches. However, this latest rumour doesn't mention another bigger iPhone 6 – just a 4.8-inch handset.
The source also claims that the new iPhone will have nimble 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity, an upgrade from its predecessor.
Although many have speculated that the iPhone 6 would land in September, Mr Arcuri cited June as a possible release date.
