Consumers across the world could still trade in their mobile phones in order to change to an Apple device, despite the resignation of the company's chief executive officer Steve Jobs.
New findings from ChangeWave Research have indicated that the departure of the iconic leader of the brand is likely to have little effect on its future success.
Looking at the period between September 6th and 12th, the research body asked 2,297 consumers for their thoughts on Apple.
Only four per cent of respondents said the resignation makes them less likely to buy Apple products, with 89 per cent admitting it has no bearing on them.
Previously, up to 18 per cent of people had suggested the departure of Jobs was a critical factor in their willingness to invest in iPads and iPhones.
Apple is expected to release the iPhone 5 this autumn, which is likely to provide a further boost to its operations.
