Apple’s fingerprint scanner may be hidden in iPhone

Security is a top priority for many mobile phone users as so much personal data is stored on modern devices.

Apple has already filed a patent for fingerprint technology which provoked many rumours about how the company would integrate such a feature into handheld devices.

In February, the iPhone manufacturer submitted an application which would allow them to hide fingerprint recognition inside any given device, according to Patently Apple.

With the amount of applications that are filed it's difficult to distinguish which will actually make it into devices that we will see in store but the patent seems to indicate that Apple are taking security and fingerprint technology seriously. Unfortunately it didn't give away any further information.

How long it will take is anyone's guess but don't be surprised if you see the advanced-security feature in the next iPhone.
