Although BlackBerry has only just released its BB10 operating system, it appears to be the older mobile phone software which is going into new models.
An insider document shows some information about a Bold 9720 device that appears to be running the company's older operating system rather than BB10. BlackBerry's chief executive Thorsten Heins said in June that another BB7 handset was due and it seems his plans are coming into fruition.
This move may indicate that the BB10 software isn't redeeming the Canadian firm as much as it had hoped, especially as only 2.7 million devices were shipped last quarter with the latest software.
The leaked document, posted by Twitter user @Bla1ze, and recent pictures leaked by Thaibclub, indicate that the BlackBerry Bold 9720 is sticking with the general appearance of the rest of the Bold models with its QWERTY keyboard and 480 x 360 screen resolution.
