Tourists in the UK who are planning to visit Bristol in the future may be wise to sell their mobiles and switch to an Apple iPhone.
That is because the city – courtesy of its official tourism body Destination Bristol – is the subject of a brand new app, designed for the device.
Free to download, the tool will offer all the best information about where to stay, where to eat and what to do during a stay in the south-west.
“The app is a fun and stress-free way to explore Bristol, plus it's easy on data charges as the information is stored within the app itself,” explained Destination Bristol managing director John Hallett.
A GPS-enabled map is another feature of the app, making it simple to explore the city and reach various attractions.
The Apple iPad was recently the beneficiary of a new app release, when the BBC launched a tool for its iPlayer service to be enjoyed by tablet owners.
