Canonical has added three more pricing tiers to its crowdfunding campaign in order to generate the income to produce the Ubuntu Edge mobile phone.
The system has already accumulated in excess of $5 million (AU$5.44 million) in a matter of days, but when you consider the firm needs to get its hands on $32 million, it's not all that much.
The AU$653 tier, which allowed thousands of supporters to reserve one of the smartphones for themselves, sold out immediately so the company has now added AU$680, AU$734, and AU$789 options as well.
Canonical's Ubuntu Edge is supposed to be more powerful than anything currently on the market including flagships such as Samsung's Galaxy S4, HTC One, Apple iPhone 5 and Nokia Lumia 928.
