People who choose to sell used phones and switch to one of the latest Samsung models will find a new app enables them to enjoy television services.

The company has confirmed the release of the Smart View app, which offers content on both the Smart TVs and mobile devices it produces.

For now, people must trade in their mobiles and buy the Samsung Galaxy S II if they are to utilise the app, although it will later be extended for use on several other of the brand's handsets.

Guy Kinnell, marketing director for TV at Samsung, said: “As the UK's leading TV brand, we deliver the best in technology and innovation and Smart View is one such development which will see us continue to lead the TV market.”

Other new apps on the market include the Enjoy England tool, which was recently released by Visit England and offers tips on tourist spots in the country.
