Motorists will have more reasons than most to recycle mobile phones and switch to a device from Finnish brand Nokia over the coming months and years.
That is because the firm has announced it has been able to produce Nokia Car Mode, which will allow its handsets to be used in vehicles.
Featuring an optimised user interface specially for drivers, the system will be simple and easy to access.
Consumers will be able to finally get their hands on the tool towards the end of this year, when it will be available to download from the Ovi Store and teamed with MirrorLink for maximum impact behind the wheel.
Floris van de Klashorst, director of automotive services of Nokia's location and commerce business, said: “Via MirrorLink users have comfortable and safe access to maps, music and telephony on their phones when they're in their cars even while driving.”
Last month, Nokia confirmed the release of a trio of brand new phones.
