One of the latest phones to arrive on the Orange network has been put to the test in a new review.
The Window-powered HTC S740 was looked at this week in an article for ZDNet UK, which noted the handset was something of an oddity in that it boasted a Microsoft operating system but no touch-screen.
In the piece, Sandra Vogel suggested the phone is targeted at those who are looking for a model that delivers “communications first and data second”.
She explained the design of the HTC’s S740is similar to the manufacturer’s Touch Diamond, in that it uses the same glossy black finish with diamond cut backplate.
In terms of technical features, the phone has microSD card support, a 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7255 processor, as well as HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
“No navigation software is bundled, but you can get various third-party applications or try online options such as Google Maps,” Ms Vogel adds.
Orange recently announced the launch of the Nokia 5800 complete with the manufacturer’s Comes With Music.
