HTC has commenced a countdown to February 19th in an online and newsletter promotion, and seems to be hinting at a new mobile phone release.
Once the Taiwanese manufacturer scheduled its New York press event, many gadget lovers suggested that the much-rumoured handset, codenamed the M7, would be debuted.
More recent speculation proposed that the new smartphone would be called the HTC One once it hit the market, and the online timer seems to support this notion.
Every time a number one appears at the end of the countdown on the HTC website, mysterious images flash up in the background, possibly showing the upcoming device.
Alleged leaks suggest a host of impressive specifications, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU alongside 2 GB of RAM.
Rumours also indicate that the smartphone will sport a 13-megapixel camera, 4.7-inch HD display and 32 GB of internal memory, putting it firmly in the premium bracket.
