Consumers considering some of the latest phones on Orange pay-as-you-go may be interested in the network’s newest tariff.
Aimed at 16 to 24-year-olds who love music, the Monkey offering joins other animal themed price plans such as Canary, Racoon, Dolphin and Camel.
However, where the newest tariff differs is it forms part of a partnership with 4Music and Universal to bring a host of audio options to buyers of prepaid handsets like the LG Cookie.
Orange has announced pay-as-you-go users signing up to Monkey will get access to “hundreds of thousands” of songs, as well as the ability to share playlists and create their own content via an online community.
Tom Alexander, chief executive of the network in the UK, said the service was unique in that it did not require download fees or one of the networks top-end phones.
“Monkey is for everyone,” he explained. “All you need to do is top up to get free music on any handset or online.”
