All mobile phones should offer the user more than just text messages and voice calls, it has been suggested.
Nokia has recently released three new handset with a focus on social networking – the C3, C6 and E5.
The mobile phone manufacturer’s Conversations blog has taken a look at the response the devices have received from the media and found that – on the whole – it is positive.
“These days data rates are low enough to make status updates practical and the features of social networking have boiled down considerably, so it’s time for every phone to start getting social,” said The Register.
Mobile recycling with Mazuma might be an option for people that would like to be able to keep up to date with their friends via a new device as they could receive cash to put towards it.
Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia’s head of markets, described the three phones as ideal for emails, social networking and text messaging due to the qwerty keyboard.
