British shoppers who trade-in a mobile and upgrade to an iPhone will find they can take advantage of new software to try on sunglasses virtually before they commit to buying them.
Stuart Dredge, writing for CNET UK, notes the arrival of eBay Fashion could be an important one for those who love to purchase shades online.
The app has a tool known as See It On, which provides the ability to allow people to view a picture showing how they will appear in certain designs.
Firstly, users need to take a photograph of themselves, before technology takes over and dresses the image up in a pair of sunglasses.
“It's a niche feature – how often do you buy sunglasses? – but a clever one. The free eBay Fashion app also helps you find other clothing bargains,” writes Mr Dredge.
Earlier this week, the Daily Telegraph told how music labels are preparing to assist the fight against piracy by making tracks available to iPhone users as soon as they are first heard on the radio.
