Those who would love to enjoy regular access to Google Voice may be best off trading-in their mobile phone and upgrading to an Apple device.

Marcus Foster, product manager at the search engine and author of the latest Google Mobile Blog, notes the tool is now available to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users.

The latter two are a new addition, after the application was rolled out to iPhone customers a couple of weeks ago.

People with the revolutionary model have still been offered a number of updates, such as the ability to send all callers straight to Voicemail and the addition of a dedicated Callers function.

Meanwhile, Mr Foster explains those with an iPad or iPod Touch are able to initiate Google Voice with their handsets, despite them not being able to make calls themselves.

Apple released both the iPhone 4 and the iPad in the first half of 2010, with each shortly racking up seven-figure sales.
