Moto G Play, an affordable new smartphone from Motorola, has been officially launched in Australia.
It is designed for users who want all the essentials offered by a modern day smartphone but at a lower price point than premium devices.
Those who want to simply keep in touch with their friends, family and loved ones, catch up with the latest news updates or watch the occasional YouTube clip will find everything they need on the Moto G Play, which is priced at $279.00.
A powerful processor – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with quad-core CPU – offers fast and reliable performance when browsing the web, streaming video content or even playing games. Mobile broadband 4G LTE speeds ensure the online user experience is a smooth and seamless one.
Switching between apps is fast and convenient and data transfer speeds are reliable. The battery is good for a full day's charge, so you are unlikely to be caught out without the use of your smartphone on your lunch break.
A water-repellent nano-coating offers the Moto G Play a degree of protection from accidental spills and splashes.
Crystal clear photos can be taken with the front-facing eight megapixel camera – and the five megapixel rear camera is no slouch either, making for a good quality selfie cam.
Videos can be shot at 30 frames per second in full 1080p high definition, the f/2.2 aperture has fast capture speeds and the camera sensor uses larger-than-average pixels.
“Armed with a sharp, five inch HD display, the Moto G Play delivers vibrant visual content, including photos, videos, games and web pages,” Motorola stated.
“With the Moto G Play, one can shoot all the photos and videos without worrying about memory space or giving up quality as it comes with Google Photo free storage for up to two years in the original resolution.”
