Fans of the world's top musicians and bands may wish to trade-in their old mobile and invest in an iPhone, after O2 launched an exciting new app.

Priority Tickets is available to customers of the brand to download and offers access to concert tickets before they go on general sale.

Typically, it will make spots at the top gigs available up to 48 hours before they can be snapped up by the public.

With more than 1,500 venues across the UK, including London's O2 Arena, signed up to the scheme, iPhone users could have their pick of the gigs.

The company's head of consumer mobile Jonathan Earle says: “Priority Tickets is part of the fabric of being an O2 customer. Our customers love the fact that they can buy tickets to the biggest gigs in the UK before anyone else.”

Recently O2 launched a system that allows users to check on the environmental impact of their handset.
