New Apple iPads could incentivise mobile trade ins

There may be no greater reason to trade in a mobile phone than to be able to put the money raised from this towards a brand new Apple iPad.

The good news for those interested in such a plan is that the US manufacturer is said to be preparing to release two new versions of the popular tablet in January, according to DigiTimes.

It said sources have claimed the next incarnation of the device will be released in two forms.

But perhaps of most interest is the date January 26th, when the iPads are pencilled in to be launched.

Along with the existing iPad 2, the new devices will aim to offer something to the entry level, mid-range and high-end markets, the publication noted.

Kantar Worldpanel ComTech recently named Australia as one of the major sectors in which Apple has excelled in 2011, increasing its popularity with consumers and enjoying a boost in market share.
