The new iPhone 7 might have been on the market for several months now but new colours have become available for those looking to purchase the product in the coming months.
As well as the new colours, there have also been some significant changes to the updated models. The iPhone SE has now had its storage doubled – the largest can now hold 26GB, which is very impressive given the phone's small frame.
The increased storage was announced alongside the news that smaller iPad pro is now available in an updated version. Despite the fact that it will be cheaper than its predecessor, it has improved performance speed and a brighter display.
Alongside the new colours, Apple has also unveiled some new apps. The signature release is the Apple Clips app – it will correlate your photos and videos into a neat clip that you can then share with your family and friends.
In 2015 we saw rose gold join the ranks of the more traditional colours and this hue will also be available in the latest model. In addition to rose gold, there will be three additional colours available.
Apple has collaborated with an AIDS fundraising charity to offer this new shade – the first for any of their iPhone models. The new colour is coming to the shelves this month. It is not yet clear if this will be a permanent feature on its pallet or if it is a limited edition.
Apple's CEO Tim Cook released a statement expressing his excitement about the return of the red phone. He said: “Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.”
He also added that Apple is the biggest contributor to the Global Fund and is committed to corporate responsibility. The money which will be raised from the red model will help provide the ARV medication to tackle HIV-AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa.
The charcoal grey that has become synonymous with the iPhone has now been replaced with darker colours. The jet black model, which has been available for months, is now more readily available since the hype surrounding the colour has died down.
The colour is not new but the colour of the logo is. The model now also has a dark coloured Apple logo instead of the signature silver.
The silver models that Apple users have come to know and love are back in for the iPhone 7. Silver is one of the most popular colours but they did decide to drop the space grey, even though it has proved popular with previous models.
If you're a lover of rose gold, then you're in for a treat. You can now get an iPhone 7 in this much-anticipated shade.
This premium colour is sticking around for the iPhone 7. So if gold is your thing, you can keep your favourite shade.
