New Huawei Ascend P6 released on June 18th

Chinese mobile phone company Huawei decided to use Facebook as its platform to confirm that the upcoming Ascend P6 will be released on June 18th.

On the social-media website the firm wrote: “On June 18th, Huawei will unleash an intimate experience to consumers”, alongside a close-up image on the highly-anticipated flagship-handset.

The headline-feature of the Huawei Ascend P6 is the ultra-slimness of the handset which the firm highlighted in its announcement.

It wrote: “The Huawei Ascend P6 challenges all phones to be the thinnest, smallest, and one of the most compact smartphones with a screen that can rival its competitors”.

The 6.2mm-phone will be the thinnest of all smartphone when it finally hits shelves and is rumoured to sport a 4.7-inch screen and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor.

It confirms comments from device chairman Richard Yu who posted on a Chinese microblogging site that the release date for the new Huawei device would be in June.
