A new mobile phone could make travelling by car a less painful experience for Brits, if recent suggestions are anything to go by.
Research carried out by the mobile operator 3UK revealed that 54 per cent of Britons find car travel with children so painful they would rather stay at home than go by road.
Selling an old mobile with Mazuma could provide consumers with the cash to spend on a new handset with Wi-Fi access – such as the BlackBerry Bold 9700, which 3UK is now offering in white.
It was also revealed that 71 per cent of Brits would find in car Wi-Fi access useful for work on entertainment purposes.
“Kids can get on Facebook, watch TV online or download tracks to an iPod Touch while on a road trip,” said Charlotte Blanchard, director of products and services at 3UK.
She added the company is always looking at ways to keep people entertained while on the move.
