Motorola has had a number of announcements to make at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014, including one that the company will be launching a smartwatch soon. However, the latest offering indicates that the manufacturer is also planning a new mobile phone very soon.
As well as holding a press event at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona, the company also took to Twitter to host a Q&A session with its customers. When one smartphone fan asked about when a new Moto X would arrive, the company said this:
“A: Keep posted – hint – late summer.”
There was never really any doubt that Motorola would update its Moto X handset at some point, and it has been the topic of a number of rumours, but the question was when the company would bring it to consumers.
Obviously, the reply doesn't answer many questions or even speculate specs but, with the company recently passing to Lenovo, it's likely that a lot of this stuff is still up in the air.
