The creators of the Nokia N97 have noted more people are recognising the many benefits of integrated smartphone technology.
At a recent company conference, a spokesman for the Finnish manufacturer said it was clear that people all over the world were now enjoying the integration of telephone and internet-enabled handsets.
Chris Carr, vice-president of sales in the south-east Asia Pacific region, explained it was not just those in the western world that were taking advantage of its top-level devices – such as the Nokia N71.
“We are witnessing exciting developments in our industry driven by the rapid convergence of the internet and mobile. This is not only happening in advanced markets but for everyone,” he added.
In addition to the upcoming Nokia N97, the group recently announced the launch of three new models, the E72 – which will serve as a replacement for the E71 – the 5530 and the 3710 Fold.
