It appears that Nokia could be taking inspiration from popular TV shows and films for its latest range of mobile phones.
The Finnish firm has paid tribute to both James Bond and Breaking Bad in the company's range of unreleased Windows Phone 8 handsets, according to a proficient Twitter tipster.
According to serial tipster @evleaks, future Nokia devices are internally being called “Goldfinger,” “Moneypenny,” “Normandy,” “Phantom” and “Spinel”. Although the tipster didn't give us any more information, he has proven to be accurate in the past.
Codenames don't always indicate the functions or specifications of a device but Tech Radar took a guess at what the monikers could imply.
According to the tech website, the “device codenamed Moneypenny could have an emphasis on business or even be something else entirely, like a smartwatch”.
“Goldfinger probably doesn't refer to a gold-plated phone, though with high gold iPhone demand Nokia could well be working on a metallic device with a similar champagne hue,” reports the news provider.
The other codenames were a little more ambiguous though Spinel could imply that Nokia will integrate other materials in its future handsets.
