Australians who use mobile banking services may find that trading in a mobile and upgrading to a smartphone is a wise move after a new app was launched.
The Commonwealth Bank has revealed its tool that will enable customers to send payments and check their accounts via a mobile.
Plans are even in place for the app to eventually contain the technology for it to link with cash registers and other portals.
Payments can also be made from Facebook and email services, it has been confirmed.
“Mobile and online social payment is the next step in transaction technology and now Australian consumers will no longer have to rely on cash or cards to make payments to family, friends or businesses,” said David Lindberg, spokesman for the bank.
Telstra recently announced it has launched a new search tool for its customers that is part of its Mobility Partner Program.
