Optus launches new Optus X device range

Optus has announced the launch of a brand new smartphone range – Optus X – with the first device in the line being the 4G Optus X Sleek. 

This is a premium handset targeted at prepaid customers, offering them a feature-rich experience at a budget price of $149. 

It comes with a bright five-inch high-definition display and is encased in a curved design made from metal and glass.

With a 13-megapixel main camera, which boasts dual-tone flash and wide aperture lens, the 4G Optus X Sleek is ideal for prepaid customers who want a good camera on their handset. It also offers a five-megapixel front camera with LED flash, as well as 720p high definition video recording.

A fingerprint sensor gives users fast unlock and quick access to its features. In terms of its internal hardware, a powerful 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM allows for fast performance and multiple app use simultaneously.

Managing director of marketing and product at Optus Ben White said the Optus X range will deliver a range of devices with a lot of modern features that prepaid customers want to see. 

“We know that our customers are looking for affordable handset options without having to compromise on features or quality,” he commented.
