Existence of a new flagship HTC M7 mobile phone has been confirmed, after the Taiwanese manufacturer's chief executive showcased the handset at a company party.
Seemingly very excited about the new device, Peter Chou encouraged the crowd to chant and took snaps of the audience using the gadget.
Speculation indicates that the camera has a 13-megapixel specification, meaning the pictures captured should be high quality.
Video footage, which was broadcast on NextTV, does not show the smartphone in detail – the handset is likely to be launched officially at London and New York press events on February 19th.
Alleged leaked images of the M7 show a black casing, but the one showcased by the HTC executive seems to be in white.
Rumours suggest that the device will have a 4.7-inch touchscreen, alongside a 1.7 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM.
It is likely to be sporting the Android Jelly Bean operating system, meaning owners will have access to the Google Play multimedia storefront.
