Mobile phones could soon see improvements, following a new joint project between Nokia and Yahoo!.
Consumers could benefit from improved navigation services such as Ovi Maps as both companies aim to make improvements to this service.
“We believe Nokia’s strength and continued investment in maps and navigation will greatly enhance our existing products, enabling us to focus on areas that are core to our business,” said Carol Bartz, chief executive officer at Yahoo.
In addition, she expressed her excitement at the move and said she hopes it will expand the reach of the company’s Mail and Messenger services and provide personalised experiences to a greater number of consumers across the mobile web.
People that would like to make use of mapping on their phone could wish to sell an old mobile for cash with Mazuma.
This money could then be used towards the purchase of a new device compatible with the Ovi Store.
