An upgrade of the BlackBerry Curve – the 8520 – is a handset that combines simplicity with a number of the latest messaging options, according to its manufacturer.
Research In Motion (RIM), the company behind the range of telecommunications solutions, took a moment to highlight some of the device’s most attractive options this week.
In addition to the usual full qwerty keyboard – which it claimed makes keeping in touch via email and text a little easier – it noted the model provides fast access to social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.
RIM also commented the ease of use the BlackBerry Curve 8520 offers is indicative of its status as “an incredibly approachable smartphone”.
Carlo Chiarello, vice-president of product management at the firm, said the phone would “undoubtedly convince many more people to make the switch” to its line of devices.
Famous RIM handset users include Jay-Z, Beyonce, Lindsay Lohan, Rihanna, John Mayer and Paris Hilton – and all have been snapped by the Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings website.
