A Samsung executive has apparently leaked details about the Galaxy S3 successor, the Galaxy S4.
The fourth-generation smartphone will make an appearance at the mobile world congress (MWC) which is taking place in Barcelona in February next year, according to the Korea Times.
The Galaxy S3 was only unveiled in May and so it stands to lose its flagship status within just nine months.
The recently-released handset has already sold 20 million units and received praise from customers. It has a 4.8-inch screen which may be increased to five inches in the S4.
It utilises the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system but the upcoming device should be upgraded to Key Lime Pie by the time it is on sale.
However, the executive at the South Korean company allegedly said that the design will be largely unchanged.
Support for next-generation LTE networks and Near Field Communication (NFC) technology should also be retained.
