Samsung ‘exploring new UI’ for Galaxy S5

Samsung is planning on changing the look of its TouchWiz user interface, according to new leaks of the Galaxy S5 mobile phone.

Serial tipster @evleaks has taken to his Twitter account once again to publish images of a device he claims is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5. The pictures seem to show the company has given its user interface a makeover.

The user tweeted: “Samsung exploring new smartphone UI,” alongside a number of photos that show a completely different lock and home screen.

The UI featured in the screenshots appears to have a different typeface and altered icons to make the operating system look more stylish. Images of the lock screen seem to imply that the Samsung Galaxy S5 could integrate a kind of fitness tracker.

Another image shows the lock screen with the time, location, weather and alarm status on display, indicating that users could be able to access widgets from a locked screen.
