‘Samsung Galaxy S4’ pic teased on Twitter

Samsung has leaked a mysterious image of a mobile phone on its US Twitter account, which is thought to be the Galaxy S4.

There has been widespread speculation about the next-generation device, with gadget lovers expecting the handset to be unveiled at the Samsung Unpacked event on March 14th.

The South Korean manufacturer tweeted the picture, and said: “The countdown for #TheNextBigThing has begun.”

Although the picture of the handset is heavily shaded, the curved outline of the body is visible, and reminiscent of the Galaxy S3.

This distinctive and attractive design has helped the award-winning smartphone to achieve worldwide unit sales of over 40 million.

Samsung has also motivated other rumours about the S4 recently, by filing a patent relating to 3D photography technology.

An insider also told SamMobile that the forthcoming flagship gadget could sport an energy-saving PHOLED display, which would allow users to talk, play and browse for longer without charging.
