Rumours have been circulating that the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 would be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) taking place in Barcelona at the end of February.
However, alleged sources have revealed to The Verge that the South Korean manufacturer will instead introduce new gadgets at an event on March 14th in New York City.
Eldar Murtazin of Mobile-Review.com also hinted at an exciting release on this day using his Twitter account, telling followers to “save the date for a big announcement”.
He also claimed that HTC One sales will suffer as a result, insinuating that a rival premium mobile phone will be launched.
Samsung is likely to attract a huge customer base following the huge success of its Galaxy S3 handset, which has sold more than 40 million units across the globe.
It received coveted Phone of the Year awards at technology industry gatherings, and received rave reviews from customers.
