The chief executive of mobile phone music application designer Shazam has claimed to be delighted with receiving a silver Juniper Future Mobile Award for Mobile Music.
In a Juniper Research press release, Andrew Fisher stated that he was proud to have his company recognised as one that has had a major impact on the mobile music market.
“This award is testament to the dedication of our team to offer customers the best mobile music discovery experience,” he remarked.
Earlier this month, Shazam announced that its service now has 35 million users around the world, up from 20 million back in September 2008.
Last week, it revealed that it had embarked on a partnership with mobile handset manufacturer Samsung to offer an “improved music experience” to consumers.
Shazam technology was embedded into two new Samsung products unveiled at the recent Mobile World Congress – Samsung Beat DJ and Samsung Beat Disc.
