Sony's latest mobile phone will be the first mobile phone from the firm that is waterproof up to five feet below the surface.
The Sony Xperia ZR will sport a 4.6-inch screen, the Android device markets itself as a phone that will allow you to film your underwater adventures in full-HD quality.
As well as being water-resistant, the new smartphone runs a Snapdragon quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, LTE support and a 13 megapixel camera.
Sony also proclaims that the new handset will reduce glare in bright sunlight thanks to it Bravia technology.
The firm has uploaded a video introduction to the smartphone as well as confirming specifications which solidify the rumours that have been circulating.
There is no hint about what price the Xperia ZR may retail at, or when we can expect it to hit Australian shelves, but the company has released several pictures to whet your appetite.
