Sometimes it can be difficult to determine how accurate leaks about upcoming mobile phones are. However, when they come straight from the company involved, you can guess that they are pretty official.
Sony accidentally published photos of one of its upcoming handsets that has been the focus of rumours for a while.
The images were published on Sony's website and then were quickly taken down, but not before XperiaBlog captured a sneaky screenshot.
According to the firm's leak, the pictured device is called the Sony Xperia Z1S, though it had done its rounds in the rumour mill as the Z1 F or the Z1 Mini.
Apart from confirming that the device exists and its almost official name, the images don't really provide more details. The leaked photo and text indicate that the device is identical to the Sony Xperia Z1, but given the S, it's a fair assumption to guess that it will be a smaller version of the company's flagship.
Previous leaks have suggested that the Sony Xperia Z1S will be like its big brother in many ways and bring a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM.
