Telstra customers using Android smartphones will now be able to pay for Google Play application, movie, book and magazine purchases through their mobile bill.
These gadget owners would usually make payments using credit or debit card information stored in their Google Wallet.
However, those on the Telstra network will now be able to add these transactions to their monthly invoice – the statement concerning minute, message and data usage.
Google Play has over 700,000 tools and games available for download, allowing customers to significantly widen their smartphone's capabilities.
In order to celebrate this new payment method, a number of apps will be available for half price until December 18th.
Those available include Swiftkey 3, which is a keyboard tool with a specialised Australian-English dictionary, and World of Goo – a popular physics-based game.
Most apps on Google Play are free, so Android smartphone owners can install a variety of useful tools and fun games without spending a cent.
