New York saw the unveiling of Apple's brand new mobile phone after months of rumours and image leaks.
However, it appears that many of the iPhone 5S rumours have actually materialised. One of the most prevalent speculations was that the new Cupertino handset would bring a fingerprint scanner – and it's here.
The reader is placed under the home button and will, not only allow you access to your smartphone, but also authorise purchases through the iTunes store, simply by touching the button.
It also brings an updated camera with an improved flash and sensor area which should make capturing brilliant images all that easier. One of the biggest updates is that the Apple iPhone 5S comes in space grey and gold colours which we haven't seen from the company before.
To get your hands on the new Apple offering will cost you at least AU$869 SIM-free for 16GB of internal storage while the 64GB version will drain your bank balance of AUD$1,129.
